Skin Toning. Is it necessary?

natural skin

One of the most important steps in skin care routine is often overlooked in daily care routine.

During consultations on our fan page, by phone or during visits at our store, you often ask us what toner is really used for and if it is even needed. Why is washing and moisturizing your face not enough?

Thorough face cleansing in the morning and in the evening is the basis of a healthy, fresh and glowing skin.

In the morning, to get rid of excess sebum, dust and cosmetic residues, I advise to use a gentle washing product without SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) or SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), strong foam-forming detergents, created for washing cars and machines. Unfortunately, in addition to 'proper' cleansing, they offer our skin the effect of drying, irritating, and damaging our skin's hydrolipid barrier. Other detergents, used interchangeably that you should avoid are:

-Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate

-Magnesium Laureth Sulfate

-Sodium Coco Sulfate

-Sodium Myreth Sulafate

If you are looking for a gentle washing cosmetic, always read ingredients list and look for:

-Lauryl Glucoside

-Coco -Glucoside

-Cocamidopropyl Betaine

-Decyl Glucoside

-Sodium Cocoamphoacetate

Despite the high gentleness of some cleansing products, when used with water, they still cause a feeling of dryness and raise our skin’s natural ph.

In order to quickly restore the harmony of our skin, and naturally acidic ph., it should be rinsed with a toner.

The traditional way, i.e., rubbing the skin with a cotton pad soaked with toner, is almost a thing of the past.

Try another option: pour a few drops of toner onto the inside of your palm and splash your skin with it.

Now your skin pores are unblocked, face is clean, refreshed and ready for nutrients and moisturizing ingredients intake. Serum and moisturizer are worth applying to wet skin.

Which toner to choose:

Not every toner restores balance to the skin. Unfortunately, some products available on the market can harm your skin, due to high alcohol content, irritating preservatives or fragrances.

It is worth choosing a toner without alcohol, based on Organic Hydrosols, with a large content of plant extracts, vitamins, a gentle preservative, and with a ph. between 4.5 and 5.5.

In addition to ph. regulation, toner can have many other beneficial properties such as:

-moisturizing

-brightening

-reduction of imperfections

-reduction of redness and irritation

-regeneration

In our offer you will find a ph. 5 toner with Niacinamide, based on Organic Rose Hydrosol and Aloe Juice, with plant extracts of Nettle, Spirulina and Manjista.
