Squalane for Skin - What the Science Says

4. Non-Comedogenic and Acne-Safe
One of the most frequent questions regarding facial oils is whether they will cause breakouts. Because squalane is fully saturated and stable, it does not oxidize on the skin to form the pore-clogging peroxides associated with squalene. Dermatological research confirms that squalane is non-comedogenic. Its lightweight, biomimetic nature allows it to provide necessary hydration to oily and acne-prone skin without congesting pores, helping to balance natural sebum production.
