Rose Water made of delicate, wonderfully fragrant and velvety smooth petals of the Rosa Damascena is one of my beloved cosmetic ingredients. Its versatile skin care properties, the content of over 300 active ingredients, vitamins A, E, C, Beta Carotene, flavonoids and antioxidants, as well as its wonderful, honey aroma make Rose Water appreciated and used in skin care for centuries.
Rose Water is created in the process of distilling flower petals when the steam carries with it water-insoluble particles of essential oils. Then, after cooling, the oil floating on top is separated and the remaining water underneath is called hydrosol or flower water. It contains many therapeutic, energizing, nourishing and moisturizing properties that are irreplaceable in skin care products.
